The theme of personal data protection is farily recent in the Brazilian judicial, political and institutional debate. The country has just approved Federal Law 13.709/2018, that instituted a judicial framework for personal data protection. Also published recently is the Law nº 13.853/2019, that creates the National Authority on Personal Data Protection (ANPD); tied to the Presidency of the Republic. It is extremely important to debate the theme and help Brazilian society to understand the possible impacts of this new regulation in its activities. Knowing the European experience is crucial to imagining limits and possibilities of personal data protection in the corporate every day life.

The present conference unites brazilian and french researchers that have consolidated trajectories in the personal data protection debate and that of Law applied to the Internet.
